Last email...

Hey family! This is probably my last email to you before I get home!
We leave here tonight, and we'll be flying all night and then we'll be
in Germany in the morning. We'll stay there for a couple of hours,
then we'll head west over the Atlantic. We get to the states around
noon, then we'll be at that airport for a couple of hours until we fly
to Philly. We should be in Philly in the afternoon. They will have a
bus waiting for us, and we should be at the base about an hour and a
half after we land.

I love you guys lots! I can't wait to see you! I hope that you have
a wonderful Thursday, and of course a super-duper Friday!!!

I lost two teeth today!

I'm looking forward to you coming home. If you get this email then see if you can respond anyway.

Today I lost two teeth. My right top tooth came out because of Balen. His head bumped my cheek and my right top tooth came straight out. I said, "My tooth came out!". At first I thought my top left tooth was going to come out first. I was looking at my left top tooth in the mirror in the downstairs bathroom because it was all twisted. When I untwisted it, I accidentally bumped it and it came out and fell in the sink, nearly going down the drain. I have no idea where Daddy put them. I'm going to get 2 dollars! Once Zahra said that she got 3 toys, 100 dollars from the tooth fairy when she only lost 3 teeth. I think she should have gotten 3 dollars. I don't think it's true that she got all that. Otherwise she would have lost 103 teeth.

X days left! By tomorrow, it will be the next day. I do suck my snot sometimes, but barely. I do still whine, but I don't whine about blowing my nose anymore. That's what I meant.

Yes, the house is mostly clean. My room is clean except for my desk and some clothes, which I'm putting away right now in the hamper. Daddy clapped for me because instead of just noticing it and talking about it I went to go fix the problem. So Daddy clapped for me.

I'm a vampire. I have two teeth that are growing straight out!

I can't wait to see you...just a few more days to go! I'm leaving
Iraq very soon and I'll be in another country for a few days. I don't
know if I'll be able to check my email as much from there as I can from
here, so you may not get much from for a few days, okay? But know that
I'll see you before this weekend!!! Isn't that exciting! I just can't
wait! I'm gonig a little crazy now, because I'm done working, and I'm
packed and ready to go, and I just want to get out of here. I'm so
ready to go home! I need to be patient so that I don't drive myself
crazy!

days without me quickly and without too much work (I hope the house is

Over the next few days, I may or may not be able to email you, okay? But
that's ok, because you know that I'll be home very soon! I'm very excited
about coming home to see you! I can't wait to give you a big squeeze! I

Are you and Daddy going to do some food shopping before I get home?
Remember, I'd really like some fresh bread, and real butter, and we're going
to have steak for dinner when I get home.

When I get to Germany, I'll be able to tell you guys what time I'll be home
- if I'm able to use a phone or a computer. But I think that Daddy can get
all the info from my squadron...

Today is my last day of work here! That makes me really happy! The new
people will take over today, and I have to pack all my stuff. That will
take a little bit of time, but that's just fine - I've got all afternoon!

I have to do this really quick because it's almost one in the morning. Actually, I think I should just go right now. It's so late because we stayed at Mr Chad and Miss Dana's, and had dinner then. We had a second lunch because we had Burger King, and then a second lunch at the Smiths'. We stayed there really late playing games. We'll call Papa tomorrow. Goodnight, I love you. Today will be another very busy day for me...but I get to give work to my replacement, so it'll be a good day. I hope to have almost everything turned over by the end of hte day today. Then I can concentrate on some personal things, like packing my bags, and getting my checklist done (we have a checklist that needs to be done before we can leave, and I haven't even started mine!).

Yep, only 6 days left. Can you believe it? (btw, this font is called WSTCzec) Yes, I am very excited!

Today I had a horseback riding lesson at 4:00. I had to be there at 3:30. We were late. I was going to ride Hoover, but he was too stubborn, so we chose Corona. She was actually the baby of Callie and Jet. I believe Jet is a boy, so Callie is a girl. Today I also colored my little wildflowers stained glass coloring book from Aunt Danusia. We might be able to take pictures of the pages that I colored. The pages are really thin, and you just might be able to get pictures of the pages that I colored with sunlight behind them. The second page is the most beautiful one. I can tell.

Okay, I understand that you may not be able to send emails every day.

The picture was really funny. I like Lt. Mages' pose best.

I want to go now because I want some play time. I also think I've made a long enough email. So...

I hope that you are able to send me emails even when you will be able to relax a little bit. So I might as well go right now.

Hi!

Hey Baby Girl! I'm coming home soon!!! Just a handful of days left…are you getting excited yet?

I can't wait to see you, my Little Punk! I just can't wait! I only have 3 days of working here left, then I don't have to work anymore. You know why? Because my replacement is here! The guy who's going to take over my work for me is here, and I’m showing him everything I do, and on Monday he will take over all of it and I'll relax a little! Pretty cool, huh? I don't get to leave here on Monday, but it will be soon after that. There will probably be a few days when I may not be able to email you, okay? Because I won't have my own computer to use. But we will see.

I hope that you be a good girl all week before I come home. I don't want you to be on restriction when I get home - I want to be able to do things with you right away, okay?

I'm sorry that you are angry. I noticed there wasn't an email from you
yesterday, but no big deal.

I'll be home in a little over a week! Isn't that exciting!! Soon, Sweetie,

My day is not nearly as exciting as yours. I worked at my desk most of the
day, and I did get some stuff done. We are all ready for our replacements
to come in and take over our jobs...they just need to get here! They were
on their way here yesterday, but the plane they were on had a problem and
they had to turn back. Maybe they will get here today. We'll just have to
wait and see.

In the meantime, there is still lots of work to do around here. Things
don't ever slow down, it seems.

I'm very angry

I'm very angry because you keep forgetting to send me emails and you've done it a lot.

Today I played some Frogger, Marble Blast Ultra, and Feeding Frenzy. I got tired of Feeding Frenzy so I played Frogger and Frogger was a real pain. You can't imagine how much of a pain in the butt Frogger was. I mean, every time I jumped, jump, jump, ooooh. I mean I could only get up to two frogs up into one of the holes. That's it. I could not get past two. So I went back to the arcade games and looked for a different game. Once I found Marble Blast Ultra I said, "Awesome!" That's one of my favorite games. I passed the beginner levels easily. I had to do a couple of the lessons over again, but they were easy. Once I went to the Intermediate levels I made it past the first level, but it took a lot of tries to get past the first level. Like 5 tries or so. Usually it only takes 1 or 2.

My day was perfecto. Like I told you, today I played arcade games. We went shopping right as it started to rain. We went to Lowe's then CVS. Then we came home. As we were walking into the car from CVS my hair was blown into my face from behind me. The storm had started. Immediately when we got in the car, it started raining. We finished shopping right on time. I'm glad that we finished shopping right on time, at least. I would be happier if we didn't finish earlier, but it was fine. It stopped raining soon. I was amazed at how fast it stopped raining. A few minutes after we got home it had stopped raining when I looked out the window. It was a pretty rainy day today. I think I should go because I think I made a big enough email already.

Yes, I was having a good time in Pennsylvania (I said I "was having a good time" because we're already back home).

Guess what! I got a new trash can! It's pink with little butterflies at the top. The butterflies wings are punched out of the plastic. The bodies and antennae are molded between the wings, only on the outside of the trash can.

Right now it's 9:03. Not as late as I've been staying up.That's good. I hope you get your work done very quickly. What do you do as your work? Do you have to sign things? I mean I don't understand.

I don't really have anything else to talk about, so I might as well say my goodbye stuff.

a crazy busy day for me, and I didn't get hardly anything done, so that
means I'll be busy today making up for it. See, I had to sit in on some
briefings and drive some people around yesterday. I'll have to do it a
little bit today, but it'll only be for a few hours today, so it won't
interfere with my work too much.

Are you having a good time in PA? Sounds like Daddy is enjoying having a
mini-vacation with you guys. Please be a good girl for Daddy, and be a

Yup, we already looked at the house. I feel good about looking at the houses. Guess what? When I was going to bring my checklist I forgot to bring it. Right when I was going to grab it, I didn't, because I saw something else that I needed to get.

There was a woman who was taking care of some other family's children. Daddy took pictures of the house and he's going to send them to you. Right now we're in a hotel. I like the hotel room. It has a nice TV, 3 drawers below it. It has a little stand. Back to the house... It had nice wood flooring in a room upstairs and a room downstairs. It was mostly rug. I like the house. I seriously do. The kitchen was a nice turquoise. In one of the bathtubs in the downstairs bathroom there were some non-slip pads that were shaped in shells on the bottom of the bathtub. The downstairs bathroom was ... ... pink! Can you believe it was pink?! The upstairs bathroom was ... ... tan and brown mixed together!

This morning when I was making music, right when I stopped humming, Balen farted, right at the perfect time.

I really should go now, because it's 11:00, and it's almost as late as I stayed up a few nights ago and last night.

Have you been helping Daddy at all with finding a place for us to live?
There's a house that you guys might be checking out, and there's some
townhouses that we can live in, but we'd have to figure out what to do with
Jazz, because the townhouse doesn't allow dogs. We'll see, I guess. Daddy
and I talked on the phone while you were sleeping last night. We talked
about where we're going to live. There's a house that looks like it will be
just right. I think Daddy is going to take you and Balen and go look at it,
along with a few other places. Will you look very carefully for me? Check
out the yard - does it look like a nice place to play? Is the neighborhood
nice? Is it on a busy street or a quiet street? And in the house - check
out the rooms and see if you like them. Do the bathrooms have windows?
Maybe you could sit down and think about it, and make your own checklist of
things to look at, and each place you go see, you can go through your
checklist. The one that has the most things you want would be your #1
choice. What do you think? But you don't have to do any of that...don't
worry about it at all if it seems like it's just a lot of work.

It's about this man who was in an airplane crash and he ended up on this island for four years. He lost his fiance, he lost his clothes, and he lost everything. He built a raft a few months after 4 years. He was found by a ship. He was brought back home but then he met this man, he noticed it was Kelly's husband (Kelly was his fiance). That's why I wanted to cry.

No you didn't tell me about the fireworks. Did you enjoy watching the
fireworks? Did Balen like it, or was he frightened of the loud noises?
Funnel cakes - yum! And yes I know what you mean by 'glowing ropes.'

I've got to get to dinner, okay? I was working outside most of the day. I
was with the Dirt Boyz today. I drove dump truck, and helped with the water
truck, spraying water on a track we're building, and then I operated the
roller. It was lots of fun for me. I had a great time, and the guys said I
did a good job. So I didn't have to sit in my office all day, and today
wasn't that bad outside either...it was only about 110. Can you believe I
just said that? I said " It's ONLY 110." Crazy!

REPLY: We all got new toys today!

You should see our new toys! Even daddy got toys! They were "TRANSFORMERS". You Shold see the movie "TRANSFORMERS". I actually like the movie "TRANSFORMERS". Balen got a small blue ball and a small green ball. Yesterday we got a big red ball and some cars.

I got a Crystal Princess My Little Pony. Her name is Lily Lightly. She has a long dress and she's actually a unicorn. She has a little pearl necklace, and it has a little star button on it. If you press it then her dress lights up in places with three lights: two red lights, and one blue. Her horn glows blue. There's a company, I think it's called Shining Stars. I got a Shining Star horse. There's a horse, and there's a unicorn. Once I saw the unicorn on the little tag that's attached to her ear, I said, "Ooooo giiiive meee the unicoooooorrrrn." into my mind. She's on my bed right now. She's staring at me. I also got a Barbie horse. It came with a Barbie, and the horse was named Tipper or something like that. I think it was Tipper, or if not it was something close to that. It came with all these accessories, like ribbons, hoof protectors and more. It also came with a trophy and a little jumpstand.

Balen also got a little Cars phone, you know, like Lightning McQueen, that movie? It was yellow and red and it made noises almost exactly like his pooh bear cell phone. He has these little shake and go cars. We bought an orange one today. You shake them and the more you shake them the faster and farther they go. He has an orange one that we bought today and a yellow one that we bought on Tuesday. Daddy got a remote control car that he and Balen will play with together.

Yes, I had an apparently good 4th of July.

Btw, did I tell you that I went to fireworks on Tuesday night? We got a funnel cake, and we also got little glowing ropes. Do you know what I mean? I didn't really answer this in older emails, but I think it's really cool to get back into horseback riding lessons, FI-NAL-LY. Yes, I want to plan breakfast for you when you get home. No, we haven't made a chain to count down the days.

You should have seen a paper clip that was on top of my computer got stuck to one of the hairs on the bottom of my new little stuffed horse's foot. There's this little fake plastic star on the bottom of my horsey's left rear foot. It got stuck to that foot. Once I picked up my horse and said, "Wow, there's a little magnet!" Daddy said, "Huh". I said, "Wait a minute" into my mind. I tried to take the paper clip off her foot and it popped right off. I said, "Nevermind". Then Daddy chuckled.

Go to bed I must, because it's 11:21. Almost as late as I stayed up last night.

today (the 5th is her birthday).

Also, I sent Daddy some pictures of me working last night. I was working on
some big generators. It was fun for me. I like that kind of stuff - I
think it's really fun! It's way better than sitting at a desk all day doing
paperwork!

We are getting closer and closer...just over 2 weeks now until I am home! I

It's raining right now, although that doesn't have to do with anything, but I was just telling you. We watched Harry Potter. First we watched Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. Next we started watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. We haven't watched Harry Potter in a long time. First I said, "Nah, I don't wanna watch Harry Potter". Then we started watching it and I said, "Wow, I like this!" So we kept on watching it. Then once we finished the Sorceror's Stone, we started watching the Chamber of Secrets. So.. goodbye. I will go now because it's already 11:33 this time.

Wow...you WANT to go to bed? Are you okay Sweetie? It's okay to skip the
email sometimes. I understand.

You must have had a very active day, I bet! And you'll be starting
horseback riding lessons. Are you excited to get back into it?

I ran a 10K this morning. That's 6.2 miles. I ran it in 47 minutes and 48
seconds. That means that I ran each mile in less than 8 minutes. That's a
pretty good time for a mama! I didn't win though - the top 3 men and the
top 3 women got prizes, and I think I was the 4th woman to cross the finish
line. Oh well. Everyone who ran got a t-shirt. But after that run, I'd
like to lay down for a bit and rest my arms and my legs and the rest of my
body too!

Tonight I'll be working with one of the shops. We'll be doing some
maintenance on some big generators. For me, it's going to be fun. I am
happy that I get to work with the guys tonight. And on Friday night, I'm
going to be calling out the numbers for bingo. We play bingo every Friday
night, and I am going to make up some extra rules to make it more exciting.
What's really funny about bingo is that if there is a tie, we have a
dance-off. That means that the two people who won have to dance, and the
crowd cheers for whichever one they like the best. It gets pretty funny.
Also on Friday I'll be working with another one of the shops, working
outside - probably doing some concrete work, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm sending Daddy some pictures of me playing basketball the other day. Ask
him to show them to you.

I just can't wait to get home. Every day I get more and more excited about
going home, because we are that much closer! I miss you guys a lot, and I
just want to get back to you. I can't wait to step off the bus and have you
come running up to me! I'm gonna pick you up and give you the biggest
squeeze ever, so be ready for it!!

Well, I'm gonna try to get some work done. Things have slowed down just a
little bit now that I've gotten a few projects ready for contracts. There's
still more to get done, but it's nice to have some of them out of the way.

we can teach you to swim ourselves. If not, we'll find a YMCA or something
like that and get you in a class. If they have any available. Usually they
are filled up by this time, so you might have to wait until next summer to
take a class - but like I said, Mommy and Daddy can always teach you!

Abigail, please don't lie. I know that it is easier to say whatever you
think won't get you in trouble, but really that just gets you in more
trouble, doesn't it?

Well, if there's bird poop on your swingset, why don't you go in the house,
get a Clorox wipe, and just clean it up? I know that since you are a kid,
cleaning it up doesn't occur to you. But think about it for a moment: will
it take a long time to run in the house and get a wipe out from under the
kitchen sink? Is it hard to do, to wipe the swing and the slide? Then
you'd just have to throw it away in the trash, wash your hands, and you're
done! Easy, huh? I think you should try that next time you see bird poop
on your swingset. Then you can play on all of it!

It's going to be so awesome to come home! I just can't wait to get home and
see you. Here's an idea for you: do you want to plan breakfast for the next
morning when I come home? I would like to have breakfast at home - I don't
want to eat out for breakfast my first morning home. I want to be home with
you guys. But what will we eat. You know that I want some fresh eggs.
Everything else is up to you, okay? You can look through your cookbooks if
you want to pick something out from there, or you can just think of what we
should have yourself. As long as I get some good coffee in the morning, and
some fresh eggs to eat, you can add anything else that you want to. How
does that sound? If it is too much stress for you to plan breakfast for the
family, then no problem, you don't have to. Only do this if you want to.

Today I played with Nathan. I had a good time with Nathan. Oh yes, I lied again. Nathan wanted to play my DS, and so I went to the stairs to ask Daddy if Nathan could play my DS. He said, "Ok, give it to Nathan. Where is it?" I said, "It's charging on my desk." He said, "Ok". So I went upstairs, got the DS, and instead I started playing it. 15 minutes later Daddy comes upstairs and sees me playing it. Nathan didn't even get a chance to play it yet and it had been 15 minutes. That was my lie. Then we started to color and Nathan started getting bored with it. I started getting bored with it, too. We really had fun coloring. When we went outside we had a lot of fun playing on the swing set. I kept on going on one of the swings and it was the higher one. The lower one had bird poop on it. The slide had bird poop on it, too! Ewww! The white stuff is pee and the brown stuff is poo. Well, I might as well go, because it's 9:07. So...

I am glad that we got to talk yesterday, because I did forget to send you
and email! How absolutely irresponsible of me! I'm sorry, Sweetie.

So, my daughter, I see that you were playing in sprinklers...that's fun!
And I'm glad you were able to hang out with Nathan and play in their hot
tub. I bet that was lots of fun too. So what's the deal with the story of
you falling out of the tube and going under water and getting scared? I
think we need to teach you how to swim so that you aren't scared in water
anymore. What do you think of that? Are you willing to learn how to swim?
If you are scared of being alone in deep water, then learning how to swim
might have a few scary moments for you, but how else are you going to learn?

I'm getting more and more excited as each day passes by. I'm getting so
close to coming home. I just can't wait! I'm so excited to see you again.
We will take a few days to just relax and be together - how does that sound

I'm sorry, but my dear queen, you forgot to send me an email. Why is that? Is it because you're late for dinner? Did you need to run an errand or something and you forgot to send an email before you got back and snoozed on your bed? Is that what happened? I mean, if not that, I don't understand what else it could be, unless you forgot to send me an email and didn't need to do anything.

First Miss Michelle got mad at her, then Mr. Mark came in the back yard from mowing in the front yard. Well I might as well go. Yeah, it's pretty crazy for being away for almost 2 years. Mikayla told me a story about both of her parents being away for exactly two years. They're both in the Army. No, he's not really saying my name or "Joe" that much. Well, "meow" and "shower". He says "meow" like "mow" like "now". Okay, I'll try to get him to say "mama" if I can. Yes, I remember what a pedicure is and I want to go get a haircut and pedicure with you.

Isn't it funny that Balen says "meow" like "mow"? It's pretty silly, but he's just a baby and he's learning. I think this might sound a little sad. When I was in the little inner tube thing in the pool at the Cafferty's, I flipped over. I was sitting on the side and I fell into the water. I didn't see it coming. I was trying to make it not flip, but I was too late. So under the water I went. I stayed under the water for a little bit. When we arrived home from the Cafferty's, I was thinking that maybe I could have tried swimming under water while I was down there, but it was too scary.

We are getting closer and closer to coming home! Oh, I just can't wait!
All of us here can't wait to get home. We are very tired of this place. We
are all very glad that we are not in the Army - most of those people stay
here for a year or more at a time. That's way too long. A lot of Army
people just left to go home, and some of them have been away from their
families for almost 2 years! Isn't that crazy? I'd get out of the Army if
I were them, because that's just too long to be away from your family.

So, is Balen still saying your name? And Joe? Has he learned any other
words yet? See ify ou can get him to say "mama" for me, would you?

Ok Baby Girl, my flight is going to breakfast now. It's almost 7am for me.
We always go to breakfast together a little later in the morning (yes, 7 is
later in the morning for us) on Saturdays. It's kind of a way to make
Saturday a little bit special. At home, Saturday is part of the weekend.
Out here, it's just another regular work day. I can't wait to have my
Saturdays back!

Daddy says that you'll need a haircut by the time I get back. Would you

You won't believe what movie Daddy and I saw! We saw "Surfs Up"! I hope you'll be able to see it! It's a really good movie. It's about a penguin named Cody who loves to surf but he needs training. The movie shows that you are a winner only if you are helpful and loving. It also shows how to be a good person throughout your life. It starts out as Cody telling a story. He says this: "When there was a first wave there was a first surfer. His name was "Big Z". Everybody loved him. But on a big wave he fell into a section where there was a bunch of rocks ( I mean like long pointy rocks) whitch was called the "bone yard". Everyone thought that Big Z was dead because he never did come back. I'll tell you more about the movie tomorrow.

of the day. In the very morning I lied about wanting to stay in my bed when

Yes, I got some summer clothes. BTW, we did donate my school clothes except for my gym clothes. Yes, it's very frustratingwhen you're shopping for clothes. It's hard to pick out the perfect clothes.

My day was perfecto. I had a really really really really really really really good day. I had such a good day because I had cake and I got to watch Stargate Atlantis and other things.

Once we were doing show and tell and Bryon asked the person who was doing show and tell, "What is your favorite donut?" (Abigail's giggling uncontrollably at this point - Daddy) Everyone started cracking up then. Especially me. Bryon's really funny. He asked it a little slowly.

Do you know what the foot game is? If you don't, the foot game is where Balen and I or Balen and Daddy step on each other's feet lightly. I did the foot game with Balen. Daddy showed me just now.

We just saw a bird that was walking back and forth along the fence. It looked like it couldn't fly at first. But when we went out there and Daddy touched the bird (I've never touched a bird!) it got scared and flew over the fence. It was just odd. Daddy guessed it was just maybe hurt for a while. Right now the fireflies are out. We haven't seen the fireflies for a long time. "Not since last year", said Daddy. Man, I wish you were here to see the fireflies.

I take it you got some summer clothes? That's cool. Hey - we should tell
Daddy to take all your old school clothes and donate them to your school for
someone else to buy/wear. What do you think? Everything but your gym
shirts, because those have your name on them.

I would like to see the pictures of your latest "fashion show." I bet you
look super cute! I know how it is shopping for clothes, and how sometimes
nothing fits you right. It's very frustrating, isn't it? I have a really
hard time with clothes too, sometimes. With shirts, I always have the
problem that if they fit me around my tummy and chest, they are usually too
tight under my arms - like around my arms and shoulders. With pants, it's
sometimes hard to find something that's small enough in the waist (like
you). I wish that a lot of my pants had those bands that you have to cinch
them up and make them fit a little better!

I don't know what clothes will fit me when I get home. I'm talking about
pants/jeans mainly. Shirts won't be that big of a deal. But my body has
changed a little bit since I came out here - my hips seem to have gone a
little more back to where they were before Balen. It's both cool and
frustrating - cool because I'm getting my body back, but frustrating because
I just want my body to stay put in one size so that I can find clothes that
fit, instead of it constantly changine and my clothes never fitting right!

Well Sweetie - I should get to work! I can't wait to get home to you. I
can't wait to get to wear jeans again, or shorts or even skirts - once in a

Yep, those crazy cats really have my attention. I love the karate one, too, especially with the tongue and the eyes. It's really funny. Just imagining it almost makes me laugh. My day was perfect. It was perfect because Miss Kim took me shopping for clothes for me and I got ice cream. I got ice cream because I was really good while we went shopping. Miss Kim told me that once she went to a store and none of the clothes in that store fit her. She has a size 4 and she looked in the size 4's but none of them fit her. But then she went to a different store and that store's size 4's fit her. The same thing happened to me. I went to a store where the size 6 or 7 didn't fit on me but when I went to Target all the 6's and 7's fit me. It's kind of weird how only certain stores are right for you, huh? We're going to send you pictures of the new fashion show. A bunch of new clothes! But I want to go because I want to look at the crazy cats and then go to bed because it's 10:10pm! So...

My first day of summer vacation was not that good. I got in trouble for a lot of things, but mainly disobedience. That's what Daddy said. This morning Balen woke up but then trampolined into Daddy's bed (it's a joke, of course). He trampolined so high that he broke the ceiling. So how was your first day of summer vacation? I bet it was great! Did
you sleep in? Or did you get up at the normal time? I'm guessing that
you slept in a little bit, and I bet that Daddy loved not having to get
up and get you ready for school. Of course, I'm sure that Balen wakes
up at his normal time no matter what, huh?

I can't wait to get to home and do cool things with you, like cook and
sing and play games and read and learn about something together.

Well, I'm gonna get going and head to bed. I get up pretty early since
we start work at 0530 or 0600 now, so that we don't have to do as much
work during the hot part of the day. It's really yucky here - it's
always over 100 degrees in the day and its usually very dusty too. Just
yucky. I can't wait to get home to some clean air! And it's still warm
during the night, too. In fact, right now (at 10:30 pm) it's 93 degrees
outside and that actually feels kind of cool to me, compared to the day.
Man! Even though it's summer at home, I think I'll feel like it's cold
outside at night when I first get home, because I'll be so used to the
hot weather. I'm so thankful that we have air conditioning! I can't
imagine living here for your whole life...it's not for me, that's for
sure!

Too bad you forgot to send me an email, but it's okay (I can't assume that you forgot to send an email to me, but maybe there's a problem with the network).

My day was perfect.Today was my last day of school, as you know, and now school is out! I can't believe it! So soon I might have horse back lessons again! I want to go now because it's 9:21 but I want to tell you a few more things. Tonight I went to dinner at On the Border. It was fun. Today I got a Happy Meal. I got it because Mrs. Maynard offered to by me something with the $3 that I had brought to school. She offered to because I was staying there to help clean the classroom. Daddy didn't leave my car seat at school because he forgot to. So I had to stay at school while Mrs. Maynard, Gabriella, Christopher, Ethan, and Alex went to get Happy meals. You are right about Balen and the ocean - not safe for him to just walk
in there alone. You either, for that matter, until you learn how to
swim. And even then, you need to be careful. You've got to know what
you're doing, and that comes with practice and with being around other
people who know what to do in the ocean.

Today was another very busy day for me. I hope that you had another

I can't tell you exactly when I'll be coming home, but I did find out
the date today. I can't tell you exactly when because it's a security
risk. What that really means is that I can't tell you on email or the
phone because it's possible that some bad guys would get that
information, then they would know a little bit of what's going on here,
and that's a big risk, because then they could plan an attack on us. We
don't want that to happen, so I can't tell you the date. I should be
home around the time I told you before - 23rd or 25th or somewhere in

I got hit by the waves, too, so I was kind of in the ocean. But no one really went swimming or stuff. They just went in the waves or down by the waves. I kept going back and forth, up to the shore,down to the waves, up to the shore, down to the waves. I did that like 4 or 5 times, or 3 or 4 times. Yes, Balen was there. Yes, he seemed to have a good time in the water. Daddy put him in the waves. I don't mean like set him down standing, because then Balen would probably get killed. He would fall down in the water and maybe fall over laying down under the water then maybe he would breathe water and that's not good. That means he would drown. I got the idea of throwing my horse in the water because Daddy kept on throwing a ball in the waves and then it would wash up to the shore and Mercer and I would try to catch it.

My day was perfect. We had a half-day. Daddy didn't know. So I wanted Miss Wanda to call Daddy so she called Daddy and she told him that it was a half day today. Daddy was like, "Oh, oops!" So he had to come and pick me up. Today was my promotion ceremony. At the ceremony I got my envelope. Guess what! I got a blue ribbon! I got the blue ribbon for the highest academic award for the class overall. I also played my Spirit game a little. I got to have McDonald's and I got to have a McDonald's ice cream cone! I want to go now. Plus it's 10:18 already.

think you would like them too.

Does Balen walk around "talking" all the time now? I imagine that he

ANOTHER perfect day! Whoa! That's so cool though! I'm glad that you
are having perfect days!

Do you think someone will want to buy our house? I love our house, and
I'm sorry that we have to move Sweetie - it's all my fault, since I'm
going to school. One day we will settle down and be done with moving
all over the place. Stupid military - it's bad enough that they send us
away from home to the desert for several months at a time, but they also

No, I didn't take any pictures. No, I do not know where my digital camera is. Only 7 days until school is done because school is out on June 14th. So June 14th is the last day of school. Yes, about a week left. We do have the 7-s clue, I just didn't list it in the last email. It stands for "even".

My day was perfect. When I came in my room my desk was nice and clear, my bins were put together, the black TV was out of my room, my bed was made but Daddy had made it better, the bookshelves were nice and clean, my colorful bins were full of toys, and my nightstand and colorful drawers were nice and clean on the top. The only thing on my drawers was my clock, that's it. Daddy told me to keep it that way, and I hope I do because there will be people coming here even though we're not here. There's this kind of grey lock thing on the front door so the real estate agents can get in the house while we are gone, like out to lunch or breakfast or something. Tomorrow they might come with people. I got my homework and my shower done real fast. I got my shower done in 3 minutes again. I only had one thing to do for homework. That's why I got my homework done so fast. We went out to dinner tonight at TGI Friday's. We went with Mr Joe and Miss Kim. I wore my cream colored dress which had white, green, and pink polka dots, I think. I was wearing some white sandals that didn't fit me any more. I didn't notice them at first. Daddy let me wear them though because he said, "Good choice." He also let me wear them because I already had them on. I want to go.

Another perfect day, huh? How many push ups did you do? I kind of get
the idea of what you are talking about...sounds like they were measuring
how far you could stretch and bend. That's important for them to check,

It's still hot here, but it actually started out relatively cool and

Something like rice, some cooked vegetable, and fish (not raw, of course). Okay, that's fine with me: not knowing exactly when you are going to come home.

My day was perfect. I did not get my name on the board. Today I brought Baby Icing (my little horsey that I got for my 7th birthday). This is unusual: we had gym first thing in the morning. I think today was part of our physical fitness test, I don't know. We did push-ups, and we... it's hard to explain... but we stood on this measuring thing. There were two bars and you stood on the outside of the bars. The box was wood. There was this white thing in the front of it. Kind of like a big piece of paper with these numbers on it all the way up to 11. You would stand on the box and put one hand on top of the other hand and put your arms high in the air. Then you would bend down and put your hands on the front of the box. There's numbers on each side of the box, so there were lines from each number, even half of each number, they were inches. So you would have to stretch down and touch the wall as far as you can go down without bending your knees. Then Mrs. Barrett would follow the line from your fingertips and whatever number that line was at she would write on a clipboard. Do you kind of get the idea?

A perfect day! How wonderful! I'm so glad that you had a perfect
day!!! Even though it was rainy and even though you had to watch your
brother for part of the day, you still said it was perfect! That's
awesome! It sounds like it was a wonderful day for you.

You said that you made your own oatmeal? Do you do that yourself now?
That's pretty cool. I know it's just adding some hot water to the bowl
of dry oatmeal, but still, I bet it really helps Daddy that you can do
that do that yourself.

I can't wait to get back to you and start cooking with you again! Maybe
you can make a meal all on your own (with my supervision and help when
needed, of course) for the family. Would that something you'd like to
try sometime? Something like some baked fish, a fresh vegetable, and
some rice? What do you think about something like that?

I had a pretty good day yesterday too, all things considered. I came in
to get some work done, and I did get quite a bit of stuff done. I was
happy about that, because there were a few things that I had been
meaning to do for a long time, but just hadn't gotten around to yet.
This gave me the chance to get those things done, and that means that
I'm a little less pressured to get stuff done today. This is a good
thing!

I've got less than 7 weeks left. It's probably close to just 6 weeks,
but we don't know the exact dates yet, and we won't know them until we
get really close. And even when I do know them, I won't be able to tell
you exactly because we aren't allowed to do that. It's too dangerous.
The enemy might learn when we are leaving and take that opportunity to
attack us. We don't want that to happen, so I won't tell you the exact
dates or times but just generally when you can expect me. Ok?

I really do think that it's better for me to hug you first because Daddy explained it to me last night. Daddy's not certain that Balen said his first word. Sometimes it sounds like he's calling me. Yes, Daddy has tried to get him to say "Abigail", but only when I'm around so he can think, "Oh, that's Abigail". Yes, some people have said that I'm a good big sister. These days it's kind of really rainy. I'm barely able to go outside except for playing with Nathan in the afternoon. Two days in a row I went into his hot tub with him and Sarah.

My day was perfect. I woke up. I went to Daddy's bed to lay with him for a little. Then I had to get up and go take my shower. I brushed my hair. I did not brush my teeth. I made my oatmeal for on the way and I ate a little bit at the house. We went to church and we arrived there earlier than we usually do, so we got to sit in the very second row. I picked the row. I wanted to sit in the very front, but it was kind of cut off because there were wires and people's stuff. We sang a few songs. I went to children's church and when I was going to my second class Daddy picked me up with Balen and then we left. Daddy gave Balen a snack then put him down for a nap. Later in the afternoon I watched Balen while Daddy worked on some of the mulch. I played with Nathan when Daddy came back inside. I put one of my raincoats on and got some shoes on. Daddy gave me a black umbrella. I went to their house and I stayed there for almost 3 hours. Miss Michelle told me that. When I came back I played with my DS while Daddy watched TV. Soon Daddy put on Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. We didn't finish that. We paused the movie and left to pick up some pizza because Daddy said he would order some pizza. When we came back we ate dinner and I took a long time to eat dinner as normal. Daddy went to change Balen's diaper after a while. When he came back down I had paused it. We watched a little more, like a few minutes of it. Then I went upstairs to get ready for bed. I started working on my email and here I am working on my email. That's my day.

couldn't play with my DS because I had to pay attention to him. So I closed
my DS and started playing with Balen with my big snake. We had a good time
and that's when Dana and Chad arrived with Lyla. A few minutes after they
arrived we went downstairs and I walked around with Balen and Lyla a little.
Daddy was putting Balen down for a nap, and Lyla went down for a nap, too. I
went upstairs and I did my homework and I got dressed. I showed Daddy my
homework when he had come back from putting some trash in the garbage cans
just down the street around the corner. So I asked Mrs. Dana a few math
problems.

I wonder why I didn't get an email from you.

I wonder why I didn't get an email from you. Did you get yesterday's? Or did you just forget to send one to me?

My day was perfect. I did not get my name on the board again. 4 days straight! I get 20 things back because at the beginning of this week, my daddy told me that from now on, "You lose 5 things if you get your name on the board, and you get 5 things if you don't get your name on the board." When I was at Nathan's house, Sarah had a puppy of mine. I had brought it over a few months ago, or something like that, and Sarah was taking care of it for me! It was a little Dalmatian puppy. She was bringing out some of her stuffed animals, and she brought out that little puppy. I haven't seen it for a long time. It's going to be one of my things back because I love it very much. I just think I should go now because it's really late. It's 8:43.

I have another busy day ahead of me. I was here really late last night, and now I’m back early in the morning. Just the way it goes sometimes, you know? I should be able to get lots of work done today because I don't have any meetings today (hooray!). Not yet, anyways…

Well, it's the last day of May. Tomorrow starts June. And June is the month before I get to come home! We've got about 7 weeks left out here. I hope that these 7 weeks go by really fast, don't you? Then I can squeeze you and give you hugs and kisses and cook with you and play with you and blow bubbles for you and all kinds of stuff!

you get home) Yeah, I kind of know what you mean about being tired of each

a little above good. About 2 inches above the word good if you wrote it on a

So, you weren't spanked severely, but you weren't exactly perfect
either. That's ok. I still love you bunches and bunches!

You got your snake back - that's cool. You still like that snake? You
don't play with it all that much, but I bet you could play with Balen
with it. That would be cute. I though you guys playing with bubbles
was really cool. I will blow bubbles for both of you to chase around
when I get home, okay?

I've been very busy lately, since the new people are settling in and now
they are starting to ask us for stuff. And people keep coming to me and
asking me about different projects and if we can do this or if we can do
that. It's driving some of us crazy!!! We can't wait to get out of
here. It's hot and really dusty and everything is dirty and we're tired
of the same food all the time. We're tired of each other a little bit
too...know what I mean?

I'm gonna get to work kiddo. I actually am typing this email at night
time for me, but I have so much stuff to get done that I am staying in
the office late tonight. Just too much to do right now. I should be

Yes, I did enjoy the tulips while they were blooming. No, no one commented
on them. Yes, they were pretty. I am reading a book called "The Black
Stallion and Flame". Yes, we are building a new desk. Yes, sometimes I look
after Balen for Daddy. Yes, I did see the new video that you sent to me.

My day was perrr-fect. Except for the night and the morning. In the morning
I didn't get ready quick and so I lost mostly everything. At least I didn't
get my name on the board at school. At night I screwed around when I was
cleaning my room and doing my homework. I ate dinner pretty quickly and I
didn't mess around in my shower. So I got those two things back again. I was
going to get five at first, but then I lost two and I was going to get three
back. But then I got those two back. So I'm back up to getting five again.
I'm so glad that I didn't get my name on the baord. If I did get my name on
the board, then I would have gotten spanked severely. If I got spanked
severely, it would definitely not feel good. Because severely means really
really bad. I guess Daddy was being a little nice by letting me get my big
long snake from down in the basement when he said I'm only allowed to get
stuff from in my room. But I asked if I could have that snake in the
basement, and he said yes. I was really glad and I hugged him. I think I
should go now.

Okay, no misbehaving (By the way, Aunt Danusia left this morning). Yes, all the tulips are done blooming. They're still left on the berm, but any that are left have died out. Yes, that sounds good: going to George's for breakfast when you come back home.

I'm sorry, but I don't have time to do the clue thing tonight either. It's 8:45. Almost about 8:50. It's that late because I went to Mr Joe's parents' house for dinner. Well, I woke up and I went downstairs and I ate breakfast and read my book. Soon after that when I got to chapter 5 I ate some breakfast. Later in the day I took a nap at 3:00. When I woke up I went downstairs and helped Daddy in the basement with building the new desk. Soon after that I checked on Balen. He was awake and a few minutes after that we left to go to dinner at Mr Joe's parents' house. That's my day.
