Oh yeah, Chad's birthday - I need to send him an email...I'm glad you guys could celebrate with him. Was the cake red velvet cake? I think Mr. Chad likes that kind of cake, but Miss Dana doesn't really care for it. How is Lyla doing? Do Lyla and Balen play well together?

Speaking of Balen, what are you guys going to do for him tomorrow? Are you having a little party for him, maybe on Saturday? He's already 1! Wow, huh? Think of how much he has grown and learned and changed in the past year...remember when he was first born, with all his blond hair and how little and tiny he was? And now he's walking, and almost talking, and eating regular food, and playing with toys...it's amazing, isn't it?

I need to get back to work. I wish I could see you when you wake up in the morning too, but it's ok. We've still got a long way to go until July. Once it becomes July, you can start counting days.

Hey - if you want to you can do a project that helps count down the days. Use construction paper and create a chain - you know how to do that, right? Write the date/#of days on each chain, and link them all together. Each day, you can break one of the links until I come home. The only problem with this is we don't exactly what day I'll come home, so you may run out of chain to break before I come home. Or you can do it the other way - make a new chain for every day that I'm gone. The chain will get longer and longer until I come home. Then when I get home we can have fun busting it apart! Whatever you want to do - or do nothing at all. Whatever you want.

I really do need to work. There is more and more work to do...its crazy! It's so crazy that I asked my boss if everyone could work less hours on Saturdays. She said it sounded like a good idea, but she needed to check with some other people first. A lot of the Airmen here are very happy I asked about it - they want some more time off to relax and not do work.
