You are such a funny little girl! I love the silly things you say, like "As I used to say" and stuff like that...So you are starting to train Balen to scratch your back, huh? That's sneaky! You should scratch his back, too - it's only fair, right?

I'm sorry that you are having a HORRIBLE time with the boys at home. I will definitely spend some special time with you when I come home. Just you and I. What would you like to do together, just you and I? Go out to eat? Go shopping? Cook? Paint toenails? Just watch a movie? What ideas do you have? Maybe we can go for a bike ride together. What do you think?

Hey, how are the houseplants and flowers doing, Lady of the House? It's almost May now...are the tulips blooming yet? Can you get a picture or two of the berm for me? I hope that it looks really pretty, with lots of flowers. But maybe not all of the bulbs made plants or flowers. I don't know because I'm not there!

Please try to obey Daddy, sweetie. I know that it's really hard sometimes. You are doing a good job in this tough time. Just hang in there a few more months, ok? Hey - be glad that I'm not in the Army - they deploy for a year at a time, and some of the people out here have been extended (which means they have to stay here longer) and that means that many of them will have been away from home for almost 2 years! Isn't that ridiculous!? I'm glad I'm not away from you guys for that long, that's for sure!

Well, I need to do some more grad school application stuff...I should get that done. I'll call you guys again tonight - well, tonight for me, after church and before lunch for you.
